Submit Your Work to Aphrodite Books
For women with stories that deserve more than publication. They deserve strategy, stewardship, and a future.
Aphrodite Books is now reviewing select fiction and narrative nonfiction submissions from authors whose work aligns with our editorial vision: stories that are emotionally intelligent, commercially compelling, and grounded in the lived experiences of women.
What We’re Looking For
We publish stories with depth, beauty, tension, and purpose.
Aphrodite Books considers work that is polished, distinctive, and ready for serious editorial consideration. We are interested in authors who are not only seeking publication but a long-term creative partnership.
We are currently considering:
Fiction: women’s fiction, romantic suspense, thrillers, family sagas, historical fiction, literary commercial fiction, and book club fiction.
Nonfiction: memoir, personal development, cultural commentary, wellness, creativity, and books by women with a strong platform or professional authority.

Our Review Process
Every submission is reviewed with care.
If your manuscript appears aligned with our list, we may contact you to request additional material, schedule a conversation, or discuss possible editorial next steps.
Aphrodite Books is highly selective. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, or representation.
Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond to every manuscript individually. If your work aligns with our editorial vision and we are interested in exploring a conversation, you will hear from us within fourteen (14) business days.
If you do not receive a response within that timeframe, we are respectfully passing on the submission at this time.
Important Note
Aphrodite Books accepts both agented and unagented submissions from authors whose work aligns with our editorial and strategic vision.
We are best suited for writers seeking a collaborative, long-term publishing partnership grounded in editorial excellence, thoughtful positioning, and meaningful investment in the life of the work. Our authors are embedded in our Aphrodite ecosystem, so chemistry and longevity are key considerations as we evaluate manuscripts and potential author partnerships.
Our focus is not volume. We are intentionally selective about the stories, authors, and intellectual property we choose to develop.
We look for projects with a distinctive voice, commercial and cultural potential, and authors who are serious about building lasting work.
About Aphrodite Books
We were founded in February 2020 by Rachael Eckles, in response to her own frustrations with the shortcomings of the publishing process.
Too often, authors are asked to surrender ownership, creative autonomy, positioning, and long-term participation in the value of the intellectual property they create. Aphrodite Books was built differently: as a modern, boutique publishing company centered on strategic partnership, editorial excellence, and thoughtful brand development for authors and their work.
We believe stories written by women deserve serious infrastructure, intentional positioning, and the opportunity to grow beyond a single publication cycle. Our approach is selective, collaborative, and designed for authors who view their work not only as creative expression, but as lasting intellectual property.
We maintain the highest ethical standards and adhere to the Independent Book Publishers Association Code of Ethics. We are not a vanity press or high-volume publisher.
